Heat Sheet 6/16 Home Meet and Info

Our first meet is tomorrow! Tropical Theme.

Heat Sheets are here!  Please bring your own.  We will have copies only for our volunteers.  See the previous email or News post for help reading a heat sheet.

Meet Information

·       1.  The warm ups will start at 5 Plan on arriving a few minutes early so your swimmers can get set up in their bullpen area and are ready to get in the water at 5.

·       2.  The meet itself starts at 6.  It ends when it is over.

·       3.  The  second half of the meet jobs begin at a specific event number, not a specific time.  This will be announced on the pool deck.  Emily Campbell is our volunteer coordinator.  Please check in with her during warm ups even if you are second half of the meet.  This way we can make sure all our positions are filled.

·       4.  Parking.  We aren't allowed to park at the Y.  There is a field just down Lynfield from the Y.  Swim meet attendees must park there.  There will be Y staff and parent volunteers to help you find the field.  You will be able to pull into the Y lot to unload before heading to the field.

·       5.  Please help clean up your trash before you leave.

        6.   We hope to have a food truck at the Y.  I will let you know what it is as soons as I find out.  You are also free to pack a picnic dinner to our meets. However, the YMCA is an alcohol free site.  Please be curteous to the Y staff and make sure you clean up after your family.  Mempops will be on site!  I highly recommend rewarding swimmers with Mempops.

·       Remember to bring chairs for yourself.  The kids usually sit on towels in their bullpen areas, but Adults will definitley want a place to sit.

·       Pack a sharpie.  We mark  swimmers events on their arms.  There will be a diagram at the pool and seasoned parents will help.  For young swimmers write their names on their backs as well.  Many young swimmers blank when a strange parent asks their name.
