More City meet updates

TIMELINE:  Session 1 warm-ups are at 8am with the meet starting at 9am.  Session 1 should end around 1pm with warm-ups for session 2 to immediately follow.  Session 2 will start an hour after the start of warm-ups.  Please keep your members up to date with how the meet is going so they are ready to warm-up for session 2.

IMPORANT NOTE ABOUT WARM-UP LANES DURING THE MEET:  The warm-up lanes will NOT be open during session one, the pool will be kept empty by the guards.  This will keep our littlest swimmers from goofing off in the water between races.  You may recall last year it got out of control and we had to kick everyone out and shut it down for the remainder of the session.  The warmup lanes WILL be available throughout session two.  Just be sure to remind your swimmers they must be swimming laps.  If they are just standing or wading around in the water the guards will whistle at them to get moving or get out.  Thanks for helping us to keep these lanes safe for usage throughout the meet.

TEAM AREAS:  The gymnasium will be open for team areas, we are assigning the biggest teams in attendance (Rhodes and Windyke) to the gymnasium and any other teams that would like to sit in the peace and quiet of the gym.  There are mini-bleachers on the east end of the deck available first come first serve for everyone else.  Swimmers are NOT allowed to sit upstairs in the stands.  The upstairs seating is reserved for parents and spectators.  We will have marshals patrolling the stands to make sure no swimmers are up there.  Lastly, no parents or spectators are allowed on deck.  Only swimmers, coaches, officials and volunteers are allowed on deck.

 

CONCESSIONS:   The concession stand will be setup in the gymnasium.

 

HOSPITALITY:  Hospitality room for coaches and officials will be in the same room as last year.

 

The BULLPEN and the AWARDS table will be located in the same places as last summer, see attached map.

 

COACHES RELAY:  Session 1 will end with the coaches relay.  The parent relay will race before the coaches relay.  These relays will be seeded later in the session after we confirm participation.

 

Looking forward to a fun meet.  The doors will open no earlier than 7am and looks like we won’t be there too late this year.  We will see you on Saturday!
