REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Registration for the summer swim season is NOW OPEN, and Early Bird pricing ends on April 17th.
Information about registering electronically was sent out via email on March 14th. If you did not receive this email, please let me know, and I’ll forward it to you.
AFTER you complete your transaction for your 2024 pool membership and swim team fees, please go to https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/recnslrcoil/page/team-registration to complete your registration on the team's website. This step is required to ensure your swimmers are on the team roster so we can enter them in swim meets throughout the summer.
SAVE THE DATE! – APRIL PRE-SEASON EXTRAVAGANZA
Save the date for our pre-season extravaganza – informational meeting, swimsuit try-ons, and raffle! This meeting will take place on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 2:00 to 4:00 on the lower level of the NTC.
Urban Tri Gear is our vendor again for team swimsuits. If you aren’t sure what size swimsuit your child(ren) need(s), coming to this event is a great opportunity to ensure you get the correct sizing before placing your order. We will have suits on hand for fittings.
If you know your child’s swimsuit size, please place your order for the 2024 Team Swimsuit before the store closes on May 5, 2024.
We will also have board members present to answer any questions you may have about being on the swim team. If you have friends who are interested in or thinking about joining, bring them with you! This is a great opportunity to be able to ask questions ahead of the season.
We will also have raffle baskets, one of which includes a grand prize of one free 2024 swim team membership!
2024 SPIRITWEAR
Get your 2024 Orcas Spirit Wear here! We are thrilled to partner with Deb’s Embroidery for this summer’s spirit wear, and we’re even more excited to offer a large variety of options – including embroidered “Oodies”! (Order deadline is May 5, 2024.)
PLEASE NOTE: The 2024 team t-shirt appearing in the store is for parents/guardians and friends/family NOT on the swim team. If your child is registered for the swim team, they will receive this t-shirt for free, so you do NOT need to order this shirt for your swimmers!
VOLUNTEER PARENT BOARD OF DIRECTOR VACANCIES
THANK YOU to Lynn Malko and Angel Turner for volunteering to be our Meet Referee Chair and our Concessions Chair, respectively.
We still need help filling these remaining Board Member At-Large chair vacancies:

· Spirit/Social Chair
· Fundraising/Sponsorship Chair
Being a Board Member At-Large counts toward half of your dual meet jobs requirement and will give you priority “early access” signup for your remaining jobs requirement.

CALL FOR OFFICIALS
We are still in need of more officials for our team! The NSC is working on setting up the spring training sessions (they’re free!) for our 2024 officials, and when they’re published, we’ll share them with all of you. Please, please, please consider signing up for this very important job to help the team.
Being an official is a great way to be sure that you’ll always get to see your swimmer’s events, and it also helps you understand the rules for each stroke so you can also help your children get better!
It’s truly not as intimidating as it sounds. If you have questions, please reach out and I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about it.

MEET AND SOCIAL CALENDAR
The NSC has finalized our 2024 meet calendar, and we’ll have a busy summer! We are scheduled to have our Time Trials meet, 10 dual meets, 3 invitational meets, and our 2 championship meets (Classic & City). The finalized Meet & Social Calendar is attached.
JOB OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUR TEENS
We are looking to update our teen worker lists for swim meets. We utilize teen workers when we have a job that’s vacant for a meet. We are also offering to help our Orca families cover their own jobs and will provide a worker contact to them if you would like to hire directly.
Candidates must be 13 years or older, responsible, and able to work a variety of meet jobs (timer, concessions, bullpen, etc.). Pay for each meet is $40.00. If you are interested in having your teen be on our list, please send your child’s name and preferred contact number to Christine Guerin at [email protected].
CALL FOR JUNIOR COACHES
If your child is already a high schooler or will be ENTERING high school this fall and they’re interested in joining the coaching staff, please fill out this interest form. Coach Teagan will be in touch to set up interviews after she returns to Naperville in early May after she finishes her semester at school in Florida.
