PWSL Week 7 Divisionals
WOW is all I can say for the meets this year. First off congratulations Piedmont. Piedmont went undefeated this year and won the blue division. Only 509.5 points separated first through third place in the blue division and this was no where close to the tightest race this weekend.. Bridlewood pulled out the win in the red division by only 120 points to win the red division. The red division also won the race for the closest over all meet of the weekend with 346.5 points separating first and third. The closest race between first and second goes to Kingsbrooke holding off Ridgewood by 86 points in the white divisional match up. Dale city held off the challengers with an tight race of 503 points between all three teams. only winning by 207.5 in the green division. In the Black division where it was no where close to a run away by Southbridge with only an 609 point spread between first and third but the fight for second place was the tough with only 118 points between second and third. The Wellington dolphins won the yellow division with only a 367 point spread between first and second. The Virginia Oaks team pulled a win out of the orange division again with the fight for second place decided by 205.5 points. And for the purple division Montclair was the overall winner. What great meets across the county. Just to give a little more stats on just how close the meets were. We had 5 divisions that the total point difference was 609 points or less and within the divisional meet we had 6 either first over second or second over third place decided 9 times separated by only 295.5 points. Congrats to all teams on a great season.
So how did the swimmers do you ask? Just sit back and let this sink in. We had 17 league records broken this weekend. However, 22 swimmers or teams of swimmers were involved as we had several events that once the cyber meet was completed had two individual swimmers or relay teams break the same record on the same day. We had swimmers from different pools or even at the same meet break the records. The following table is the list of all the records broken this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would like to congradulate each and every one of these swimmers. Over all, the league had 19 events with new times this year. That is very impressive.

I will be updating the record board in the next few days.
I also heard many teams have lots of team records broken today. Overall the swims were fast. As a league we had an increase of seed times by 49% with three teams having a 62%, 66% and 69% increase in times.
As always after the divisional meet the Computer Reps got together to see what would happen if the 4485 swimmers who had legal times in the county got together for one swim meet. Overall the top 24 times were very close this year. We had lots of ties. Looking forward to many more seasons with the closeness of the times and the improvements of all of the PWSL swimmers as a whole.
Please see the updated Summary sheet for an overview of all the meets. The Top 25 individual times and Top 15 Relays of the week are also available. This week's cyber meet, league record file and the Excel version of the summary report as well as the End of season reports are available to the computer reps on this site; while interactive results are available at www.pwswimmeets.com
Hoping everyone has a very good off season and see you next year on the deck.
