Once you are notified of employment, please print and fill out the W-4 and A-4 forms. 

Every lifeguard must submit proof of life saver certification. All employees are required to complete Heads Up concussion training and share certificate with personnel board chair. 

 

Job Descriptions for Pool Positions

Pool Manager. The Pool Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations

of Piedmont Pool during pool operations. Although the Pool Manager will not

be present during every operational hour, the Pool Manager will be responsible

for ensuring Assistant Pool Managers are properly carrying out pool operations

as the Manager on duty. The Pool Manager is responsible for ensuring that the

pool is properly staffed during regular pool hours. Proper staffing will include

the Pool Manager/Assistant Manager and two lifeguards. The Pool Manager is

responsible for delegating duties to other Piedmont personnel, including, but not

limited to, opening the pool, closing the pool, cleaning the pool, cleaning the

facilities, and ensuring the restroom/shower facilities are clean and properly

stocked. The Pool Manager may rely on the support of the Personnel Chair of

the Piedmont Board with respect to any personnel issues that require the

attention of the Piedmont Board of Directors.

 

Assistant Manager. The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Pool Manager with the day-to-day operations of the pool.

 As the Manager on Duty, an Assistant Manager is responsible for delegating duties to other

personnel in place of the Pool Manager.

 

Senior Lifeguard. A Senior Lifeguard is a properly certified lifeguard who

has provided the Piedmont Board of Directors with his or her current lifeguard

certification and has worked as a lifeguard with Piedmont Recreation

Association for two or more seasons.

 

Junior Lifeguard. A Junior Lifeguard is a properly certified lifeguard who has

provided the Piedmont Board of Directors with his or her current lifeguard

certification and has worked as a lifeguard with Piedmont Recreation

Association for one or their first season.

 

 

Swim Team Coaching Staff. Under the direction of our Swim Rep and Head Coach, coaches will assist with daily swim team practice and help reset the pool before it opens. Must have an aptitude and interest in teaching strokes to learning swimmers. Required to attend all swim meets and participate as directed.
