Coach’s Message
Aloha Fellow Rat Friends, 

What a week it has been. We are certainly in the thick of it. Beach day was a huge hit! Thanks to those of you who showed up and represented, creating a new RATS tradition. Very successful turnout.
Two major things this week:

1. Looking forward to fighting against our rivals this week @ Larkey Sharks.
2. Preparation for the 2023 Walnut Creek City Meet.

As we approach the midseason point, please keep in mind how critical it is that we free up our schedules for the epic 2023 Walnut Creek Conference Meet. This is by far our biggest meet of the entire season. We must do our best to step up and represent. Never forget… Strength in numbers!

Larkey Meet
We are calling for a GREEN OUT for this Wednesday’s meet over at Larkey. Let’s show those sharks just how deeply we BLEED GREEN!

A couple notes:
-This meet is at Larkey Swim Club (not Larkey Park)
-Due to a short warm-up window, only nine and ups will be warming up

City Meet
City Meet is this weekend! Please be sure to read about City Meet here – this document is your one stop shop for all things City Meet, so please take the time to look it over.

Theme - Welcome to the Jungle

Saturday: Rock your best jungle attire (animals, explorers, Tarzan, etc.)
Sunday: Green Jungle (GREEN OUT!)

Parent Relays

On Sunday afternoon of City Meet, the *real* competition goes down… Parent Relays! Please shoot us an email if you want to be on one of the relay teams. It’s a blast and the kids love it, so please join in!

Buddies
This week’s buddy idea is to bring your buddy a RATS/BLEED GREEN-themed gift. Click here to see inspiration for the entire season.

Lessons
Lessons are available! We post all the coach’s sign-up links on our website (click here); however, it is the coaches’ responsibility to update their sign-ups (usually on Sundays or Mondays), set prices, receive payment, etc.

We have a lot of swimmers on our team, so please be considerate when booking lessons. We don't want one swimmer having three lessons per week and another left with none.

Please note: Swimmers may only sign up for one lesson per week with Coach Nick. Also, only team swimmers should sign up for Coach Nick lessons; Rugrats and other non-team swimmers are encouraged to sign up with any of our assistant coaches.

Coach Lunch
We have a great tradition of keeping our coaches at Rudgear fed! Please sign up here to bring our coaches lunch one day this summer. (We have EIGHT coaches this season, so we encourage you to team up with another family.)
