Coaches and Directors
I was a NYS Section 6 Champion and a Qualifier in the NYS
Springboard Diving Championship meet 2013. I was also captain of my
team in my senior year. Eventually, I was awarded a full
scholarship to Niagara University, where I spent four years as a
springboard diver and one year as the university's head diving
coach. During my tenure at the university, I was team captain in my
junior and senior years and an NCAA Zones Qualifier. I am currently
a top 10 placeholder in the program's history. I currently hold 2nd
place in both 1-meter and 3-meter Springboard. After my single
season of coaching with Niagara, I went back on the road to
continue my on-and-off career as a professional high
diver.
After a few seasons on the road, I moved to Sacramento, California,
and became a swim instructor for a local swim school. That's when I
realized I enjoyed teaching swimming just as much as diving. After
about three years of teaching swim lessons, I got an opportunity to
be an assistant coach for the Del Paso Squids. I was mainly put in
charge of the six and under group. In my single season there, I led
three swimmers to the top finish at the conference. The two boys
tied in first place for High Point Champion, and the other swimmer
came in second for the girls' High Point. Also, during my time
there, I developed a program and founded my own mobile swim
lessons/lifeguard instructor business under the name J's Aquatic
Experience.
After having to part with Squids, sadly, I took on the role of
Operations Manager for SafeSplash Swim School. I've been there a
little over a year and have ended my time there to return as the
head coach for the Squids.
I'm excited to be back and can't wait to be back on the deck with all of you soon! Go Squids!
