    Chardon Meet-

     

    • All notifications that your swimmer(s) will not be at the meet on Saturday are already due.

     

    • If it's Saturday morning and you can suddenly not make it to the meet, please call Coach Brian (440-525-4700) as soon as possible.

    Needs For This Saturdays Meet VS Chardon:

     

    • 2 Timers 2nd Half

    • 3 Concessions 2nd Half

    • 2 Heat Winners 1st and 2nd Half  (Will be posted on sign up genius tomorrow morning)

            

    *Please note we could have more positions open depending on the number of volunteers Chardon brings on Saturday, please be aware we could be asking for extra hands the morning of the meet.

     

     

    ·       Swim meets require parent help and participation via volunteerism. 

    ·       It is VERY helpful for all volunteer positions to be fulfilled prior to Thursday  evening so we don’t have to waste time trying to fill open spots.

    WHAT TO BRING-

    Here are just some reminders of some things to bring to the meet; for new families, this list is just some suggestions of things we typically see at meets:

    ·  Suit, Team t-shirt, 1-2 towels, goggles, swim cap

    ·  Pop-up tent (if you want)

    ·  Chairs / Blankets

    ·  Cooler with food and/or drinks

    ·  Sharpie marker to write events down

    ·  Cards / Books / Small Games – things to do between events

    Swimmers are absolutely not allowed to be on the playground.

    Banquet Registration is now open-

    When: Thursday July 31st

    Where: Regovich Catering 33150 Lakeland Blvd, Eastlake, OH 44095

    Time: Doors open at 5:45pm and dinner will be served at 6:30 pm with awards and dancing to follow! 

    • Please sign in to the team website (www.willowickswimteam.com): under the Team Events tab you will see the Banquet Registration. Please know you can invite extended family and siblings to attend, you must register and pay for each person, so we have an accurate count for the hall.

    5pm All Team Practice (All Age Groups)

    6pm Pasta Party at Pavilion at Marty Pool 

    Bring Dish to Share:

    • 8&U (20) – Fruits and Veggies

    • 9-10 (24) – Pasta

    • 11-12 (19) – Deserts

    • 13-18 (21) – Drinks

     

    • If you have more than one child on the team, you are asked to bring the item from your child’s age group which has the least number of kids noted in parentheses.

    • Will receive team caps for Champs at All Team Practice, Swimmer must wear during all races for Champs Weekend.

    Champs Weekend-

    Champs will be 2 LONG days so plan accordingly, 8 & Under Only On Saturday.

    • Meet Starts- 8:30am 

    • Check In with Coach Brian- TDB

    • Warm Up Time- 7:50am 

    • Gates Open- 6am Saturday and Sunday (First Tram Warms Up at 6:30am)

    • Set up on Friday, July 25th 7pm-9pm (optional and at own risk MUST  set up in designated WWK area) 

    • Champs packet will be sent out soon!

    Champs Cabana raffle and 50/50 Raffle- 

    Please see separate flyers (in e-mail from Mary) for the cabana raffle and 50/50 raffle for this year's SSL championship meet. Each flyer has a QR code taking participants to a simple Google Form (to submit needed contact information), after which you will be directed to a separate site to make payment.

     

    Please note that...

    • The cabana is a permanent structure (rather than a tent). With capacity beyond a single family, the intent is that the winner can bring one or two other families in with them (hence the three VIP parking spaces that are included). There will be one cabana winner each day, to be pulled at our last SSL meeting prior to Champs.

    • The Cabana Google Form asks participants to identify if they are an 8-and-under-only family (and will therefore only be at Champs on Saturday) versus if they'll be there both days. 

      • If we pull one 8-and-under-only winner and one participating-both-days winner, we'll make sure the 8-and-under-only winner has the cabana on Saturday. If two 8-and-under-only winners are pulled, the first winner will get the cabana on Saturday, and we'll continue to pull winners until we get a participating-both-days winner for Sunday.

    • The 50/50 raffle will continue into Champs, but will remain digital. There will be no physical tickets to purchase (so as to avoid having two "pools" - no pun intended - of participants). The Google Form for the 50/50 raffle asks each participant to identify the swimmer/family they're supporting, which is how the "winning seller", who will receive a $50 gift card, will be identified.

    Please share the 50/50 raffle with out-of-town family (winner need not be present).
