Volunteers Update: Meets 2-5 Available Tonight

Thank you Sea Dragon parents for helping us with Time Trials yesterday!  Our first meet is next Saturday, June 12.  Most positions are filled, so thank you for those who have already signed up.  We have four positions still open.  If your child is swimming and you don’t yet have a job, please consider:

 

  • Announcer: prime seat on the porch to watch the action.  Call out heats and for age groups to report.  Does not require experience!

  • Head Timer: makes sure timing is running smoothly, helps with shift change.  Work poolside for the best view of your swimmers.

  • Official Place Judge: another role at poolside.  A little different this year.  Place the three middle lanes of the pool for the first heat, 1/2/3.

  • Lineup Coordinator (shift 2): be sure the Kid Pushers for younger age groups are aware of when they need to line up.  Help keep things moving.

We will also be releasing jobs for meets 2 - 5 tonight at 8PM.  A few notes about this next round of volunteer opportunities:

 

  • If you can volunteer for Saturday 7/17, please do, and leave Tuesday nights for families that cannot make Saturdays

  • For shift based roles, times are approximate.  Shift change is after Backstroke

  • A reminder on how to sign up, log into caryparkswimteam.com and follow these steps

    • Go to the Upcoming Events section on the home page and select Job Signup for the event you are interested in

    • Check the box next to the job(s) you are interested in, and click the Signup button at the top of the page

    • In the pop up box, please enter your cell phone number under Optional Contact Information, along with the volunteer's name if someone else from your family will be the actual volunteer

    • Click Sign Up to complete your registration

We know some families are not available for all meets, and you may be concerned about being able to fulfill your 12 points.  We would ask everyone to please sign up for as many meets as you can, but never fear, there are still a few other opportunities to contribute.  Please reach out to me ([email protected]) or Dorothy ([email protected]) if you are having trouble finding volunteer openings that work for you and we will find another opportunity that fits.
