Turkey Festival Parade

The Turkey Festival is nearly underway! What are you looking forward to the most? The turkey sandwiches? Turkey legs? Turkey dogs? What about the turkey hot wings? There’s so much deliciousness to choose from!

Of course, with the Turkey Festival comes the Turkey Festival Parade on Sunday at 2:00! As in years past, we have a spot in the parade.

We are spot #45 this year, which is on Jefferson street between Harris and James. We should be near the center.  Here’s a map for reference:

Please arrive between 1:30 and 1:45.

We will have two trucks from Sam Leman Morton as well as a Jeep pulling a trailer. Swimmers can ride in the backs of the trucks or on the trailer. Please remind them that if they are riding, they must remain sitting at all times. 

Also, please send a bag of candy for your swimmer to snack on toss into the crowd. 

As always, swimmers are encouraged to wear their team t-shirts
