END OF SCHOOL YEAR PARTY!

Please join us on Wednesday, June 12th for a pool party from 7-8pm. This is a casual, fun time for the team to get together and play in the pool without anyone else or practice! We will supply some snacks – you all supply the fun!

VIP RAFFLE

We are still raffling off tickets for the VIP pass for 2024! Tickets are $5 each and the winner gets a reserved parking spot in the lot at all home meets, a tent and/or chair set up in your chosen location at home meets, $25 in “Stingray” cash to be used at our concession stand, reserved seating at the banquet and 2 volunteer points for your family. Please email [email protected] if you’d like to be a raffle ticket (or 5) and we can charge your account. We will also have the raffle tickets available to buy at the end of the school year party.

LESSONS

We still have spots available for lesson instructors and assistants in PM sessions 2 and 3. Reach out to Coach Laura or email [email protected] ASAP if interested. There is a combined Instructor and Assistant Training on Thursday, June 13th from 5-5:30pm.

TIME TRIALS

Time trials are at home on Saturday, June 15th. You will need to “commit” or “decline” your swimmer by Tuesday at 5pm. On our website, click on “Meets” on the banner, under Team Events> Current & Upcoming, you’ll see the 2024 Time Trials. On the right side, click on “Edit Commitment”, find your child/ren’s name towards the bottom (it’ll be marked as Undeclared), click on their name and under “Signup Record” select whether your swimmer will be attending or not. You will also need to click the box that says, “Day 1/Session 1”. This looks a little different on the app – look for the 3 bars on the upper right that will give you the Menu, where you can then click on “Meets”. Please commit “no” if your swimmer does not plan to be there.

The parking lot is reserved for the visiting team. Our team needs to park on the street around the pool. Please do NOT park in front of people’s driveways. It’s tight and you may need to walk a bit. Swimmers need to arrive by 7:45am to check in with a coach and get set up. Warmups start at 8am and the meet starts by 9am. We will be hosting the Westminster Riding Club. We will also hold a new family orientation for the meets at 8am by the blue pavilion.

We will be sending out concession stand and volunteer sign ups soon. Please make sure to sign up for one job and one item to donate at the concession stand.

MEET SET UP/CLEAN UP

We will begin setting up the meet Friday evening at 6:45pm until we finish and again at 7:15am Saturday morning. Cleaning up will be done after the meet is over. Service hours are available for all kids who are rising sixth graders and above who help with meet set-up and clean-up after the meet. We will also need parent help!

CAPS, SHIRTS, SPIRIT WEAR

Custom caps are in – you can grab yours at practice, or under the blue pavilion on the day of time trials. We will also have free latex caps and silicone caps for $15 available all week and at time trials. Payments can be done via cash, check, or charge to your account.

We will have shirts available sometime this week and will send out an email when we do. If you ordered your spirit wear by May 31st, those items will be delivered by the first meet. If not, never fear – we will have another order with more information and a new deadline soon.

REMINDERS AND OTHER NOTES

  • We are accepting donations for our banner again this year! Please send us an email at [email protected] or talk to a board member.
  • No cash or checks for meets or meet shirts. These charges will all be done with the card you have on file on your account. We can accept cash and check for caps and raffle tickets. For concessions, it’s cash or Venmo.
  • All charges currently on the books for the VIP raffle or caps will be done this weekend.
  • All families need 4 volunteer points for the year. If your swimmer does other events (CCI, Jr Champs, Straehle), we expect you to volunteer at those events as well.
  • We are doing fundraisers again this year! Any family that would like to organize a fundraiser (for example, Chipotle or Pub Dog night) can earn 1 volunteer point. Our goal is to have 5 fundraising events. Please approach a board member with any ideas.
  • We will also be doing swim clinics again this year. More information to follow soon.

We look forward to seeing all Stingrays at the pool!
