Fast Times at Guardian Group Invitational

Carib Swim Team hosted a two day swim meet on October 24 - 25, kindly sponsored by Guardian Group. It proved to be a very successful meet for CST swimmers, with a ton of personal bests and new achievements.

Among these new achievements were 14 new team records! The new record holders are:

Adriann Coppelmans (10 years) 400 IM, Nikki Grandtner (12 years) 200 backstroke and 400 IM, Taffi Illis (18 years) 100 breast and 800 free, Matias Piazza (12 year) 100 free, 200 free, 800 free and 100 butterfly, and Joey Schwartz (10 years) 800 free, 1500 free, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, and 200 IM.

CST swimmers also achieved 21 new time standards. Several new 'BB' times were achieved, including Chris deWilde earning his first two (100 breast and 200 IM). New 'A' times were earned by Matias Piazza (100 breast), Nicolas Piazza (100 back - his first 'A' time!), Joey Schwartz (100 free and 200 free), Gigi Cai (200 free), Nikki Grandtner (100 back - her first 'A' time!), and Adriaan Coppelmans (100 back - his first 'A' time!). Additionally, Joey Schwartz earned his first 'AA' time in 200 IM, and Matias Piazza achieved a 'AAA' time in 100 fly.
