Inaugural CST Pentathlon Meet is Fun and Successful
CST hosted their first Pentathlon meet on Sunday, in a fun and spirited event that will become an annual endeavor.
The format of the meet was different than normal, as the swimmers were awarded based on the sum of five different races. Many of the races were tightly contested in certain age categories, as swimmers needed to balance taking advantage of their specialties while not giving up too much ground on their secondary events.
This year's pentathlon champions were Lucas Berman (6 year old boys), Darina Smirnova (7 year old girls), Luuk Vinke (7 year old boys), Kjeld Van Der Meer (8 year old boys), Aiyana Bourne (9 year old girls), Chris de Wilde (9 year old boys), Gigi Cai (10 year old girls), Joey Schvartz (10 year old boys), Dencia Prince (11 year old girls), Nihal Chugani (11 year old boys), Adaya Bourne (12 year old girls), Matias Piazza (12 year old boys), Arianna Long (13 year old girls), Diego Ramos (14 year old boys), and Vadym Semkiv (15 and older boys).
Additionally, new 'A' times were achieved by Adaya Bourne (50 free), Adriaan Coppelmans (100 IM) and Joey Schvartz (50 fly). New 'AA' times were achieved by Matias Piazza (100 IM) and Joey Schvartz (50 back and 100 IM). All results and times are available on the CST website, as well as on Meet Mobile.
