Swim-4-Fun(ds) Hugely Successful on Many Levels

Stephen Leal

Carib Swim Team swimmers enjoyed a fun day of raising much needed funds. The Swim-4-Fun(ds), a lap-athon style event, raised over $6,000... We had a goal of $5,000... Way to go!

The event itself was very spirited and a lot of fun. Many pancakes were consumed, and we had a great DeeJay! Swimmers from all groups, including Learn-To-Swim and Masters took part, and the efforts were amazing! Swimmers were taskes with swimming as many lengths as they could in two hours, up to two hundred maximum.

Swimmers have one more week to gather donations and sponsers, and then we can release the winners of the individual prizes, as well as the winners of the group awards.

The funds were originally intended for new lanelines, but those were generously donated by Greg Werlinich. Thanks Greg!!! We are now looking to replace our failing teaching platform.
