Carib Swim Team Demolishes Fundraising Goal at Swim-4-Fun(ds)
With all money accounted for, CST swimmers raised a little over $8,750. Our original goal was $5,000. Way to go!!!
The money will be used for improvements at the pool. Originally we planned on replacing our lanelines, but Greg Werlinich donated the entire amount for the lanelines, including shipping. Thanks Greg, that is a very generous donation! We hope to have the lanelines in the next couple weeks. We are now looking to replace the aging teaching platform, as well as other improvements.
Here are the winners:
1st: Arianna Lont - $1,027
2nd: Joey Schvartz - $750
3rd: Nihal Chugani - $690
4th: Chris DeWilde - $675
Adult Winner: Larissa Wolff - $371
The Pizza Party (training group that earned the most) and the Cupcake Party (training group that had the most participants per capita) both go the Age Group 1!
In total 28 swimmers earned the custom T-Shirt, 10 earned the custom water bottle, 5 earned the goggles and custom mesh bag, and Arianna earned the custom yoga mat. We will award the big prizes (top four) and the T-Shirts at the Psyche Party on Friday afternoon. The other awards have been ordered, and swimmers will receive them ASAP.
Thanks to everybody who made the fundraiser and the event hugely successful. We had several sponsors that helped tremendously. The French Federation (FFN) contributed for the big prizes. First Response donated the T-Shirts and Water Bottles. Bobby's Marina donated round-trip ferry rides to St. Barths. And, of course, to the many parents to donated and helped with the event... Lot's of pancakes were consumed that day!
