CST Gets Certified Officials

For the first time ever, Sint Maarten has certified officials. Through a grant from FINA, SMAF brought in two highly experienced swim officials, Gladwin de Lanoi and Desiree Francisco, both from Curacao, to train some of our parents and other adult members. We wish the both congratulate and thank the CST members who went through the training:

Shadira Lont, Rita Bourne, Ady Arnaud, Derrick Prince, Tanya Power-Stevens, Attilio Piazza, Evelyn Munoz, Asouska Rumnit, Grace Cheasley, Peggy Illis-Bell, and Alex Schvartz.

Super Splash Swim Team and Dolphis Swim Team also had members take part in the training.

We also wish to thank Denecia and Joey for helping with the class.

This is a huge step for swimming on our island!
