The two-year-delayed annual High School Interscholastic Meet finally happened on Sunday, thanks to Caribbean Gems, our sponsor for many years.

Saint Dominic High School came out on top with 436 points. CIA came in second with 369 points, followed by College Lycee Victor Hugo with 318 points. Milton Peterson College won the Spirit Award.

Carib Swim Team athletes contributed greatly to their school’s success. CST individually swam for 11 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals.

CST event winners were Saphir Thomas, Denecia Prince, Arianna Lont, Quentin Guyenot, Matias Piazza, Adaya Bourne, and Nicolas Piazza.

New CST records were achieved by Saphir Thomas (13 year old 50 back), Adaya Bourne (14 year old 50 fly), and Matias Piazza (14 year old 100 free and 50 fly).

Saphir and Matias, along with Joey Schvartz and Sacha Gibbs, will be headed to Barbados in three weeks for the CARIFTA championships.

Congratulations CST swimmers! Your school teams are lucky to have you!
