Fast Times at CST May Swim Fest

At the last meet before the Sint Maarten Aquatic Federation Championship meet, CST swimmers showed they are ready to step up! Many new team records and time standards were set.

Four new team records were reset by Joey Schvartz (12) in 50 back, 100 back, 100 breast, and 200 breast. Saphir Thomas (13) broke three records. Her 800 free was both a 13 year old girls record, as well as the Senior record, meaning that she is the fastest swimmer in that event ever for a CST swimmer, no matter what age. She also attained the 200 butterfly record. Finally, Aday Bourne (14) broke the team record in 50 breaststroke for her age.

New 'B' times were achieved by Aiyana Bourne (100 back and 400 IM), D'Anka Burgan (50 breast), Yuyu Cai (100 back and 50 breast), Caithlyn Challenger (50 back, 50 breast, 50 fly), Carly Critchlow (100 breast), Saphir Thomas (200 fly), Declan Boyd (100 free), Philip Chang Sing Pang (50 free), Simon Creusot (200 IM), Kjeld Van Der Meer (100 fly), Daan Vinke (400 free, 800 free), Luuk Vinke (100 back), and Pepijn Vriezen (50 free).

New 'BB' times were attained by Gigi Cai (200 back, 200 fly), Darina Smirnova (200 IM), Saphir Thomas (200 breast), Nicolas Piazza (100 back), and Kjeld Van Der Meer (100 back, 100 breast).

New 'A' times were made by Gigi Cai (800 free), and Saphir Thomas (800 free).

Finally, Joey Schvartz achieved a new 'AA' time in 200 breast, and new 'AAA' times in 50 back and 100 back.

The SMAF Championship meet will be held on 12th June at the CST pool.
