Matias Piazza Competes at the Canadian Junior and Senior Championships

Matias Piazza of Carib Swim Team participated in the Canadian Junior and Senior Championships over the last week, and represented Sint Maarten and CST quite well.

The meet included over 600 swimmers representing over 120 teams from all over Canada.

Matias started his meet with 200 fly. Even though he was a bit off his time, he managed to make the B final.

He followed up with a best time in a 50 butterfly time trial. His time, 27.34, would have been fifth place in his age group.

The best was yet to come, as he managed an A final in his 100 butterfly, and finished seventh place with a new best time of 59.63.

Matias finished his meet with the 1,500 meter open water swim, where he finished in 14^th place.

Overall, Matias considered it a great experience swimming on a larger stage.
