Parental involvement is a key element to running a meet. A meet cannot start until all meet officials and timer positions are filled.  This includes judges for dive meet. The RTW Swim and Dive Team Committee (who are also volunteers) appreciates your volunteer efforts.  To be sure all families (club bond and non-bond holders) are contributing, the Swim and Dive Committee monitors your volunteer efforts.  Family requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 full swim meets for swim families and 1 full dive meet for dive families.
  • Help with 1 activity (pancake breakfast, poster making etc.) during the season.
  • If your child qualifies for any swim championship meet, you are required to volunteer a half of one championship meet. (E-mails will be sent to those who need to sign up near the end of the season.)
  • Volunteers can be any family member/babysitter, etc. and over the age of 16.

If the activity volunteer spots are filled, you will need to sign up for a third swim meet to fulfill the 3-volunteer requirement or a second dive meet to fulfill your 2-volunteer requirment.  If you are having difficulties finding a job, don't wait to the end of the season, please reach out to RTW Swim and Dive at [email protected].

Additional volunteer time is greatly appreciated. Remember, a meet cannot start without our volunteers. You will receive an e-mail reminding you of the meet/activity you volunteer for.  This may sound like a bit of a commitment, but volunteering is a great way to meet swim and dive parents and helps us become one close-knit family.

Any family who does not fulfill the minimum requirement will be subject to a $150 Volunteer Fee.  This amount will be charged to your credit card on file at the end of the swim and dive season in August.  If your child chooses to no longer participate in swim or dive before the second meet, coaches/swim and dive committee must be notified in order to not be charged.
