PIRANHAS SEND THREE TO GRAND PRIX

 

Swimming with Olympic Swimming stars Michael Pheips and Rebecca Soni were
local stars Lynette Lim,age 17,P.J.Redmon, 15,from Palm Springs High School and Plm Desert High School freshman Indira Ceranic ,14.They competed in the 2010  Southern California Swimming Grand Prix,Jan.15-19 in Belmont Shores.Jappan’s Kosuki Kitajima competed along with American world record holders Jessica Hardy and Adriana Kurkors,and Olympian Katie Hoff and open water champion Chloe Sutton.

Lim brought home a third place medal in the 1650-yard freestyle.ad placed 4th in the 500 free.All her swims at prelims earned her a place in finals.

Results of Piranhas:Lim swam the 200 free (1:49.01)7th place,500 free(4:46:58) 4th place,1650 free (16:35:07)3rd,100 fly (56.70)17th,200 fly(2:01.05)10th.

P.J.Redmon swam the 50 free (22.02)placing 46th,200 free(1:46:86) 101st,100 back(55.87)86th,and 100 fly (54.41)84th.Three were over 140 swimmers in Redmon’s events.

Indira Ceranic swam the 50 free(24.28)during finals for 20th place.Three were 125 women entered in the 50 free.

The Piranha Swim Team is a USA-registered Silver medal Level Swim Club,which places it in the top 100 swim clubs in the nation.Piranhas have programs for all levels of swimmers from beginners age five through adults competing internationally.
