INDIRA CERANIC SELECTED FOR NORTH AMERICA CHALLENGE CUP
Palm Desert High School’s sophopmore Indira Ceranic was named to the North America Challenge Cup Team for an international age group competition.The NACC will be held August 5-7,2010 at the Santa Clara International Swim Centet in Santa Calara,CA.
Ceranic will compete in this annual meet against Canada and Mexico.Ceranic,age 15,is a member of the Piranha Swim team and is one of ten 15-16 year old girls selected from Southern California Swimming to compete in this meet.
“It ‘s an honor to compete at an onternational meet,”said Coach Tim Hill of the Piranhas.”Indira has worked hard this year and has the fastest times in her age group in Southern California for both the 50 free and 200 free.”
Selection was based on individuals’long course times from February through July 4,2010.The fastest swimmers in Southern California with no more than two Junior National times are eligible to compete.
