Day 2 of JO's

All of the Piranhas qualified for younger JO's saw action today.  Alissah Koochaki started the day off on the right foot by finaling in her 200 freestyle and a good showing in the 50 butterfly.  Kelli Andrade swam a lifetime best time in her 50 backstroke as well and moved up six places with a good swim in her 200 IM.  Today was also relay day.  The 10 & under medley relay of Emma Johansen (back), Desiree Lewis (breast), Kelli Andrade(fly), and Jackie Cordero (free) assembled in Long Beach to compete in their relay.  Lewis and Johansen opted to participate in time trials prior to the finals session wher both swam personal bests.  Johansen swam the 100 backstroke achieving her very first December Invitational time standard and Lewis swam the 50 breast bettering her time by almost a full second.  In finals, Koochaki started the Piranhas off on one of many high notes on the evening by finishing 7th in the 200 free and bettering her morning swim.  The 10 & under girls relay swam smashed their best time achieved by adding each swimmers' 50 times by 7.5 seconds and moved up in the rankings 8 places.  It was all cheers and smiles at the end of tonight's events and the Piranhas are ready to make the final day of the meet a success.
