Piranhas 4th at Eastern Champs!
Piranhas 4th at Eastern Champs!
The Piranha swim team rounded out the 2010-2011 winter season with a 4th place combined team finish this past weekend at the Redlands Eastern Championship meet. Although the Piranha team was one of the smaller teams at the meet we competed at a very high level to garner the 4th place points. Just like our other championship meets this season, the team rose to the occasion by attaining team records, winning their group division, swimming to personal bests, and racing their hearts out! As a staff, we are truly proud of the Piranha team and all of our swimmer’s personal accomplishments.
One fun highlight for the meet was that Piranha member, 6 year old Emmi Von Scherr, lowered the team record in the 25 free with a time of 16.47. This was the second time she has broken this record…which had been on the books for 31 years! Below are all those who finished first in the Blue, Red, and White Divisions. We had many others who finished in the top three, and many personal best accomplishments. To see all the results, click here.
Congratulations everyone on a great season!
