Piranhas Host LC Meet This Weekend!

This weekend, the Piranha Swim Team will be hosting its April Long Course meet on Saturday, April 16 – Sunday, April 17.  The meet will be held at the Palm Springs Swim Complex for all ages who have qualified for the meet.  This is a great opportunity for the Piranha team to kick off the Long Course season right here at home.  These home meets are a very important part of the development and the financial stability of the program, not to mention not having to travel to other places to swim.  We need all of our families to step forward and volunteer with the meet, please sign up online (HERE) , or contact the meet director for more information.  It is very important that everyone does their part to ensure that we run a quality meet and are afforded the opportunity to host more events in the future.  If we put on a great meet, then we will have more chances to host more meets and reap the benefits for doing so.

Important meet notes, there is now NEW meet information and timelines on our Piranha website.  Please note that ALL 12 and under swimmers will be swum in the morning session; the afternoon is for ALL of the 13 and overs.  There is also a list of meet entries posted as well.  T-Shirts for the meet are as follows:

          Saturday: BLUE

          Sunday: WHITE

·        12 and under arrive at the pool for warm-ups at 7:45am stretch, dive in at 8:00.

·        13 and over arrive at the pool at 12:30pm on Saturday, 1:30 on Sunday (approx. - see timeline).

NOTE: the Open 800 free is the last event of the morning session on Sunday!

Practice schedule this week will be normal Monday – Friday, there will not be any practices over the weekend with the meet.  There will not be any coached practices Monday, April 18 morning for both Senior and Masters.

Again, everyone appreciates the hard work all our volunteers do over the course of a meet and I look forward to seeing a great turnout to help support our growing program this weekend.

LET'S GO PIRANHAS!!!
