Long Course Meet Success, No Practices Monday!

Adam Schmitt

This weekend, the Piranha Swim team hosted their annual April meet. It was a huge success with great organization, volunteerism and swims! A big thanks goes out to our meet director, Matt Nevins for his service and help in organizing the meet. Also, we need to thank the parents and supporters who braved the hot conditions and made our meet a success. Lastly, congratulations to all of the swimmers who swam in the meet. It was a great weekend of best swims or right near best times, which is awesome for this early in the long course season! It was exciting to see my own daughters swim their first LC meet just like many others from our team. It is great to see new swimmers competing. Our team is growing and will continue to grow.

Now that the long weekend is over, our athletes (coaches and parents) need time to recover and have time to rest and catch up on academics from the weekend. Therefore, there will not be any practices held for any group on Monday, April 18th. On Tuesday, we will resume our normal schedule with the addition of dry-land at regular dry-land times. We will be doing dry-land Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Masters will be at 5:00am, Tuesday morning.

Once again, congratulations on a great meet and we should all look forward to improving at the next event. Rest up and enjoy the day off! Be ready to go Tuesday!!!
