Piranhas Represent At National Meets
In the next two weeks, the Piranhas will have athletes competing in high level national/international meets. Kat Wickham and Shelby Andrade were both selected to the North American Challenge Cup in Mexico. They will be competing all week for the Southern California team versus Canada, Mexico and Northern California.
The following week the Piranhas have two swimmers competing at the USA Swimming Junior National Championships in Palo Alto. Adam Shaw and Indira Ceranic will be heading to the meet that brings together the top 18 and under swimmers across the United States. Adam and Indira both qualified for events at the JO meet this past weekend.
As for the JO meet, it is great to see such a great team environment that our swimmers and parents created on the pool deck. The cheering and support helped our swimmers stand out as one of the better teams at the meet. A top ten finish and too many best times to count shows that all of the hard work put into swimming for Piranha had payed off. I am proud of the Piranha team and how they represented the name - Piranhas!!
Good luck to Kat, Shelby, Indira and Adam in the championships!
