Agua Caliente Meet A Success!!
The 2011 Agua Caliente Swim Meet finished this past weekend as a huge success! Congratulations go out to all of our swimmers for competing hard this weekend and also a big thank you to all of our parents and volunteers who made this meet happen. The long hours and the tireless duties to help produce such an event can only be done with great parents like we have at Piranhas! We need to give a special recognition for two people; the Meet Director, Matt Nevins and the Meet Coordinator, Jen Parks, for organizing the big event. Also, big congratulations to the coaches for their hard work in keeping the swimmers focused and prepared to swim.
The swimmers had some great swims with many attaining best times, while many who are still in the training mode competed very well against some good competition. A big highlight was the many new swimmers we had competing in the event. It was great to see so many new swimmers and families at the meet competition and helping out around the pool. This is exciting to have so many more great families joining the Piranha family.
This November meet is a precursor to the 2011 Winter Age Group Championship meet where we can show off our hosting skills to an entirely new group of people from Southern California swimming. This meet is a Winter Championship for all age group swimmers in the Southern California Swimming Committee and it is going to be great to show off our great hospitality skills. I received many high praises from coaches on how we run such a great event, especially the food, and it goes to the great families we have on our Piranha Team.
We have many swimmers and relays qualified for the Winter meet and it will be great to represent Piranha in our own pool! Thank you again and re-charge your battery for another great meet event this December 9-11, 2011.
