Great Swims In HB!

Saturday, December 17- Huntington Beach - The Piranha swimmers that are competing in the USA Swimming Sectional meet had a great day of swims.

The preliminary session had 6 of the 8 swims with best times! In fact, it was 8 best times which would include the first 100 butterfly of the girls 200 butterfly. Faith Travis and Kat Wickham swam the 200 yard butterfly in 2:06.30 and 2:09.03. Faith's time qualified her for the finals in which she improved to a 2:05.93.

In the 200 breaststroke Adam Shaw swam a personal best of 2:05.93 and allowed him to swim in the finals to a 16th place finish.

Three Piranhas swam the 200 backstroke. For the girls, Faith and Indira Ceranic swam times of 2:05.98 and 2:08.57. Adam swam a best time of 1:54.75.

In the 100 freestyle, Indira and Kat went 52.5 and 53.49. That was a personal best for Kat.

Coach Adam Schmitt was proud of the start for the Piranhas and looks forward to more great swims to come.
