Hello Rays Nation,

A very exciting week coming up for our community so let's dive right into it. 

Practice Updates
We will run practices Mon-Wed of this week. No practices on Thursday 9/25. We will hold practices on Friday 9/26. There will be no practice on Saturday 9/27. 

Big Fish Little Fish
Our first opportunity to compete, the meet will be held this Saturday at Rock Hill Aquatic Center. If you have signed up to compete there will be much more information coming this week. Please be on the lookout for it. 

  • Please note, this meet entry deadline has now passed, there will be no late entries for this competition. 
  • If you have already signed up to volunteer for this meet; you have my sincere thanks and appreciation, if not please consider doing so, we need help to make sure these meets run smoothly and effectively within the rules set forth by USA Swimming and the YMCA. Practice Arrival and Departure
Parents and athletes, it is critical that we arrive on time (a few minutes before) for each practice session. When your athlete arrives late it is difficult for them to get the most out of each workout. We understand that life sometimes happens and we completely understand that; when possible please be sure they arrive on time each day ready to swim. Additionally, when practices conclude please be prompt in picking up your athletes.

  • CYSL Coaches Invite (this is just a name for the meet all are welcome, Mini Rays please check with your coach) hosted at RHAC (10/25)
  • CYSL Pumpkin Splash hosted at RHAC (10/26)
  • Anderson Area YMCA Distance Dash (hosted in Anderson, SC) Atlantic Rays and Up only (11/8)
  • Harvest Festival hosted at RHAC (11/14-11/16) Atlantic Rays and Up only

So far the season is off to a great start, awesome workouts and great turnouts. There is a lot of learning and teaching happening each and every day we are at the pool and between the lanes. I am proud of the work we have done these first two weeks...I cannot wait to see what we do this week! Keep it up everyone, we are just getting started.
