December Swimmer of the month

December Swimmers of the Month

Senior/National Group Pre-Senior Group Gold Group

Sara Stansell is swimmer of the month.  Sara returned to practice this month from a back injury and has done a great job getting to work.  Her attendance at practice has been consistent and every week as her endurance is getting better.  Keep up the good work Sara and you're sure to meet your goals this season! Jakob Obenaus is the swimmer of the month.  Jakob has really stepped up his intensity at practice.  He has wowed me on several training sets, going on faster intervals and leading his lane.  Last month at the Rock Hill meet, he was close to state cuts in several events...if he keeps up his hard work, he's sure to get them at the Lower State Qualifier.   Congratulations Jakob!

The Gold swimmer of the month is Wesley Ogles.  Wesley comes to the pool with a great attitude and is eager to learn how he can improve all of his strokes.  I never have to ask Wesley to give more effort because I know that he is giving it his all.  He made his first state cut in the 50 Freestyle and is looking to get more at the Lower State Qualifier. Congratulations Wesley!

The silver swimmer of the month is Robby Gourdie. He has done an outstanding job this past month stepping up and putting forth a lot of extra effort in practices and in the meets. He had a great meet in Rock Hill and I am looking forward to what Robby will do in the next couple of meets. He is also always willing to pick up on deck and help his teammates. Way to go Robby!

Erice Beaver is the swimmer of the month.  Eric comes to practice prepared and ready to swim.  He is always excited to learn a new skill, showing very good listening skills.  It is clear that he is focused on improving his strokes and turns everyday.  Nice job Eric; keep up the good work!
The Mini Marlins swimmer of the month is Michael. Michael has had excellent attendance throughout the month of December and has made significant headway in all four strokes. His is tenacious, competitive and comes ready to swim to every practice. His optimistic attitude makes him a pleasure to instruct. Congratulations Michael.
