Macie Weingarten Shines for Southern California at 2026 Pacific Coast All-Star Meet
Macie Weingarten delivered an outstanding performance representing Southern California Swimming (SCS) at the 2026 Pacific Coast All-Star Meet, hosted by Pacific Swimming on January 3-4. The 13-14 year-old standout contributed significantly to her team's efforts with multiple podium finishes, a victory, and notable personal bests in a highly competitive field featuring top talent from Pacific Swimming, Oregon Swimming, and Pacific Northwest Swimming.
Weingarten's highlight came in the Girls 13-14 100 Yard Butterfly, where she claimed 1st place with a impressive time drop of 0.74 seconds, showcasing her speed and technique in one of the meet's most demanding events.She also excelled in individual medley and distance events:
- 4th place in the 200 Yard Individual Medley
- 3rd place in the 400 Yard Individual Medley
- 6th place in the 200 Yard Breaststroke, improving her personal best by a remarkable 4.57 seconds
- 12th place in the 100 Yard Backstroke, with a time improvement of 0.98 seconds
Weingarten was a key member of SCS's relay squads, helping secure strong team placements:
- 1st place in the 400 Yard Medley Relay
- 2nd place in the 200 Yard Medley Relay
- 7th place in both the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay
