Fees/Payment Policy

• Payment Policy: San Clemente Aquatic Team processes all transactions electronically. We process charges on the first business day of the month. We accept VISA, MasterCard and bank ACH.

• Withdrawal from Swim Team:  All requests to terminate from the team must be sent via email and received by the 24th of the month prior to the effective month.  You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours.  Should you not receive a confirmation, resend your email.

• Re-Enrollment: If you withdraw from the team and wish to return, you must complete the online registration to be added back to the roster. 

• Swim Team Time Off: The team takes off 2 weeks at the end of our summer season.  We also take off major holidays, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, etc. There is no pro-rating swim team group dues for time off.

• Pricing

  • Annual Swimmer Registration Fee: $100 (per swimmer) paid at registration and renewed annually every September 1 or when you join the swim team thereafter. This fee is not prorated. 

  • Annual USA Swimming Registration: USA Swimming has a membership registration, and it is required for all swimmers, regardless of participation in swim meets. SCAT follows USA Swimming fee policies and timelines. There is a USA Swimming transfer fee of $10 for swimmers transferring from another team within the Southern California Swimming LSC, providing their registration is current. Swimmers will be responsible for registering with USA Swimming and paying the associated fee.  The fee for 2025-2026 is $90.

• Competition Expenses

  • Meet Entry Fees: Upon your declaration to swim, SCAT coaching staff will enter your swimmer(s) in all swim meets on your behalf. If you declare a given meet, you will be responsible for all meet entry fees, regardless of whether your swimmer swims or not. If you enter the meet and are entered into relays you must notify the SCAT coaches if you cannot attend.

  • Meet Fees: Upon declaration of an event, you will be responsible for all possible meet fees including not scratching, no show, deck entries, etc.  Please ensure you read the Meet Info for every meet to understand your obligations.

  • Athlete Travel Expenses: If SCAT pays travel, meet, etc fees on behalf of the swimmer, SCAT will invoice the family and these fees are due upon receipt. We try to provide travel expenses prior to traveling, but it is difficult to determine exact costs prior to departure. The final amount due will be invoiced after travel is complete.

  • Swim Meet fee: There is an additional $8 SCAT team surcharge fee to assist covering administrative/Coaches costs with the swim meet.  If the meet is considered a travel meet (requires an overnight stay by the coach), an additional $25 team surcharge fee is accessed to the swimmer account to help cover coaches expenses (travel, lodging, meals, etc).

  • MEET FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON.
