Hello Swimmers and families,

You have been on each and every one of your coaches ’ minds. Even though it has only been a week since we had our little impromptu swim meet, we have missed being with you daily and working with you. Please know Coach Gatton, Coach Dyer, Coach Penn, Captain, and Coach Kennedy are here for you. Please just reach out to us on Remind for anything.

In addition, your extra “swim moms and dads” are also here for you.  

While we may not be able to train daily right now at the pool together, we know some of you have been asking for training (in swimming often referred to as ”drylands”) to do on your own.  We are starting with this and hope to build over time-

IMPORTANT: Don't overdo and ONLY do under your parent’s acknowledgment/supervision.

MAKE SURE YOU FULLY STRETCH BEFORE AND AFTER.

Try to at least: run 1 to 3 miles every other day. On opposite days, do alternating sets of push-ups and or pull-ups. 

As many as you can do in sets of 3 to 5. Adding abdominal crunches. Sets of as many as you can do in a minute with 3 minutes rest in between. 

Of course, if you have other strength and cardio options available please feel free. 

Do in a known safe location and let someone know you are doing it.

Working out with a sibling partner or a FaceTimeSkype, Zoom, (or other video chat) partner(s) can be more fun and help support one another.
