Fast swimming at the 2022 Spring Area 3 Championships

Sun Coast Swim Team this past weekend competed at the 2022 Spring Florida Swimming Area 3 Championships at the North Shore Aquatics Center in St. Petersburg.  20 Sun Coast swimmers swam in 95 different events and 75% of those swims were new personal best times.

Congratulations to all the swimmers as we had some outstanding swims all weekend long.

We want to mention our meet medalists:

Cullen Alford (9) took 2^nd place in the 25 Breast [9-10 year olds] with a new personal best time.

Charles Carey (15) took 1^st place in the 100 Free finals [15 year olds] .

Halle Filipic (8) took 1^st place in the 100 Free, 25 Back, 25 Fly, 50 back and 50 Fly, as well as 2^nd in the 100 IM [8 & Under] with personal best times in all here events.

Morgan Gibson (14) took 2^nd place in 200 Breast prelims, 3^rd place in 200 Free finals, and 3^rd place 200 IM prelims [13-14 year olds] with personal best times.

Emma Grady (8) took 2^nd place in the 25 Free and 50 Fly [8 & Under] with personal best times in all here events.

Drew Jenkins (16) took 2^nd place in 100 Breast finals [Senior].

Lucia Mejia (15) took 1^st place in 100 Free prelims, 3^rd place in 100 Breast finals, 50 Free prelims, and 500 Free finals with a personal best time in the 500 Free.
