Tridents Compete in 2nd Jon Urbanchek Invitational

Trident Swim Club was represented this past weekend by Esther Chang, Ethan Chen, Michael Lee, Brendan Lee-Nguyen, Karen Prawira, Kyle Tsuei, Anthony Zhang, and Leo Zhang in the 2nd Jon Urbanchek Invitational hosted by FAST in the Janet Evans Aquatic Center in Fullerton, CA.  Jon Urbanchek's contributions and impact into the swimming world is evident in the last 40 years of USA swimming history.  He passed away this past May in his home in Fullerton, CA.

Trident's Top Finisher: Karen Prawira 3rd in both the Womens 100BR and 200BR.

Our athletes had the opportunity to race against some of the fastest senior level swimmers in Southern California Swimming as well as a few out-of-state and international swimmers.

Trident's achieved new PR's and qualification times.

Noteable attendee: Janet Evans - four-time olympic gold medalist, seven-time world record holder; 2024 Paris Olympians Rafael Miraslow (GER), Tomer Frankel (ISR), Marwan Elkamash (EGY); Albert Sutanto (IND) two-time olympian.
