Bio:
Alicia is originally from Chattanooga, TN, but has been in Knoxville, TN since 1998. She swam competitvely for 13 years and has trained under several of the best coaches in the sport. Chronic injury ended Alicia's swimming career, but she has been involved in some capacity with swimming after her retirement as an instructor, coach, Masters coach, official, and parent. As an athlete, she specialized in sprinting Butterfly, Backstroke, and Free. Alicia has been supporting ACAC since 2021 as an official. She joined ACAC coaching staff in 2024.
She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's in Business Analytics collaterol Marketing. She also has extensively studied Biology and Human Anatomy & Physiology. Her favorite memory from college is studying Genetics in the Galapagos Islands on scholarship. She has a diverse professional background from the medical field to analytics at UTK. Alicia enjoys all things swimming, time at the beach and lake with her family and friends, and snuggles with her dog. Favorite motivational quote: "Greatness demands greatness."
