2025 TISCA High School State Championship Swim Meet

I said last year after High School State that Great Challenges Demand Greater Preparation! Congratulations to all the Red Piranha club swimmers who competed in the 2025 TISCA State High Championship Meet! Our Red Piranhas accepted the challenge and delivered a Tennessee state high school meet of a lifetime. Several Dobyns-Bennett high school team records and RPS club records were broken in Knoxville at the Allen Jones Aquatic Center. The meet brought the fastest swimmers from all of Tennessee. It was definitely a high level of competition. The overall speed of the swimmers at this years HS state meet may have been faster then ever before. This is due to the new qualifying times since they were changed this year to the fastest in the history of the sport in Tennessee. I believe the qualifying times may get even faster because next years qualifying times will be set by the top 56 swimmers in each event for the 2nd year in a row and many of the top 56 swimmers at this meet swam their best times. Dobyns-Bennett HS brought 7 swimmers and 1 diver to state; 6 of the 7 swimmers were Red Piranhas. The 2025 DBHS girls finished 11th place overall out of 127 teams with 74.5 points topping the 2024 DBHS state team's combined boys & girls 71 point total! Noah Hawk represented Cherokee HS. Their outstanding individual and relay acheivements at the Tennessee state meet are as follows:

- 50y Freestyle : 22.22 : AA time : 29th place
- 100y Freestyle : 48.46 : AAA time : 28th place : RPS club record!
- Both swims qualified Noah for Southeastern Championships!

- 200y IM : 2:04.14 : AAAA time : 6th place : 13 points : RPS club & DBHS record!
- 100y Breaststroke : 1:04.44 : AAAA time : 3rd place : 15.5 points : RPS club & DBHS record!
- Both swims qualified Evie for Futures Championships!
- 50y Breaststroke : 29.13 : 200y Medley Relay breaststroke split
- 100y Freestyle : 51.40 : 400y Freestyle Relay anchor leg split.
Piper Osterhus:
- 50y Free : 25.48 : AA time : 31st place : personal best time!
- 100y Back : 1:03.08 : A time : 44th place
- 100y Free : 55.96 : AA time : personal best in the 400y Free Relay lead off!
- 50y Back : 29.02 : personal best in the 200 Medley Relay lead off!
Avery Brown:
- 100y Free : 55.22 : AA time : 30th place : Southeastern Championships qualifying time!
- 200y Free : 2:03.46 : A time : 32nd place
Lylah Combs:
- 50y Free : 25.51 : AA time : personal best time in the 200y Free Relay lead off!

- 100y Free : 56.36 : AA time : 42nd place
Maria Moody-Moskala:
