2025 TISCA High School State Championship Swim Meet
I said last year after High School State that Great Challenges Demand Greater Preparation! Congratulations to all the Red Piranha club swimmers who competed in the 2025 TISCA State High Championship Meet! Our Red Piranhas accepted the challenge and delivered a Tennessee state high school meet of a lifetime. Several Dobyns-Bennett high school team records and RPS club records were broken in Knoxville at the Allen Jones Aquatic Center. The meet brought the fastest swimmers from all of Tennessee. It was definitely a high level of competition. The overall speed of the swimmers at this years HS state meet may have been faster then ever before. This is due to the new qualifying times since they were changed this year to the fastest in the history of the sport in Tennessee. I believe the qualifying times may get even faster because next years qualifying times will be set by the top 56 swimmers in each event for the 2nd year in a row and many of the top 56 swimmers at this meet swam their best times. Dobyns-Bennett HS brought 7 swimmers and 1 diver to state; 6 of the 7 swimmers were Red Piranhas. The 2025 DBHS girls finished 11th place overall out of 127 teams with 74.5 points topping the 2024 DBHS state team's combined boys & girls 71 point total! Noah Hawk represented Cherokee HS.
