REEVES SHATTERS OWN MEET RECORD

NAC swimmers adorned the caps and colors of their respective high schools this past weekend in Knoxville and quickly made their presence felt. With 30 championship finalists and 30 consolation finalists the NAC swimmers recorded roughly 75% lifetime best performances.

Caroline Reeves led the way with a record setting performance in the 100 breast of 1:01.16, this bettering her own mark from 2007 of 1:02.43. Paschall Davis claimed top honors in the 50 and 100 free on the men’s side in times of 20.98 and 45.42 respectively. Megan Goss and Deidre Jones each picked up in wins in the 200 and 500 freestyles. Goss swam away from the field to win the 500 in 4:51.67 and Jones edged the rest of her final heat in the 200 with a time of 1:50.69.

In addition to these outstanding performances three new swimmers were added the NAC travel team. Madison Wenzler qualified for the travel team with a very quick 21.28 in the 50 free, Hannah Runyon Hass swam the travel standard exactly in the 100 breast with a time 1:06.39 and Kyra Logan surpassed the standard in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.78.
