John Morse and Dakota Hodgson represented USA Swimming at the Mel Zajac International Swim Meet in Vancouver, Canada this past weekend. Coach Morse was chosen as Head Women's Coach of the United States National Youth Team and Dakota Hodgson was chosen as part of the team based on his performances from last summer's Junior National Championships in Minneapolis, MN. Dakota won the 200 fly Sunday night in dramatic comeback fashion with a time of 2:01.35. He also scored for Team USA in the 100 fly (54.71), the 50 fly (25.33), and the 200 free (1:54.35). Following the 200 fly Sunday night Dakota capped off his weekend by swimming the fly leg (53.98) of the Medley relay where Team USA finished second to a team representing the University of British Columbia which broke the Canadian record.

Maclin Davis was chosen by USA swimming to be a part of the 2009 Zone Select Camp based on his performances from last summer. The camp was held this past weekend at the University of Louisville. The top 28 swimmers ages 13 and 14 are chosen from each of the four zones. The first 15 swimmers are chosen based on IMX scores, 8 - age 13 and 7 - age 14. The remaining 13 spots are given to the top swimmer in each individual Olympic event excluding the 50 free, the 800 free, and the 1500 free. The camp was coached by Laura Matuszak of Green Mountain Aquatics in Vermont.
