NAC Swimmers Rack Up SES Cuts @ Mardi Gras!

NAC swimmers didn’t let a little snow and ice ruin their chances at qualifying for Southeastern Championships this past weekend. 50 new Southeastern cuts were achieved over the 2-day Mardi Gras meet!

11-12 year old Natalie TeSelle was the NAC stand out swimmer of the meet, achieving personal best times by leaps and bounds in every event she competed in. Natalie even came as close to shaving 1:00 off of her 200 Freestyle on Saturday! Congratulations Natalie on such outstanding improvements and being a great example of what hard work and dedication can help you accomplish.

Strong performances were also brought in by Julia Jane Eskew who broke 30.00 in her 50 Free for the first time and winning the event in 29.58, another 2 seconds off her personal best. Julia Jane Eskew also achieved personal bests in every other event she competed. With Districts left to qualify for Southeasterns NAC has already added to the long list of standards achieved over the season. NAC would also like to extend congratulations to our first time swim meet participants: Baylor Sai, Audrey Kilpatrick, Sawi Alwis and Estelle Joiner in hopes that this was the first of many meets as an NAC swimmer!

This coming weekend is the District West Championship Meet for 8 & Under swimmers as well as many other NAC’ers . This meet is also the last chance for swimmers to qualify for Southeasterns which are only 2 weeks away. Good luck and… GO NAC!
