Curtis Lovelace Selected for 2010-2011 USA Swimming National Team
NAC swimmer and current Stanford swimmer Curtis Lovelace was selected as a member of the 2010-2011 USA Swimming National Team. Curtis was selected based on his performance in the 100-meter breaststroke at the 2010 Long Course Nationals in Irvine, CA, where he turned in a time of 1:01.70.
According to USA Swimming, "the U.S. National Team is chosen based on the fastest six times swum in each Olympic event in the qualifying period. The athletes on the U.S. National Team are at the absolute top of their game, and represent the USA's top hopefuls for the 2012 Olympic Games. The U.S. National Team also represents USA Swimming at major international competitions in non-Olympic years. The major international competitions leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games are:
2009 FINA World Championships (Rome, Italy)
2010 Pan Pacific Championships (Irvine, Calif.)
2011 FINA World Championships (Dubai, United Arab Emirates)"
