Maclin Davis Selected for 2010-2011 USA Swimming National Youth Team

NAC swimmer Maclin Davis was selected as a member of the 2010-2011 USA Swimming National Youth Team. Maclin was selected based on his performance in the 100-meter butterfly at the 2010 Long Course Senior Nationals in Irvine, CA. While in Irvine, Maclin turned in a time of 54.72, the 5th fastest time in the country for athletes 13-18.

According to USA Swimming, "The U.S. National Youth Team serves as a stepping stone to prepare top young swimmers to make the move to the U.S. National Team. The mission of the National Youth Team is to identify the top swimmers in the United States ages 13-18 and support their development and preparation to eventually represent the United States in the Olympic Games. The National Youth Team supports youth coaches, conducts programs, and provides competitive opportunities that give the top young swimmers a chance to experience the demands of competitive swimming on a national level."
