NAC Pleased to announce a few new exciting additions to the Coaching Staff

Nashville Aquatic Club hires several new Coaches

 

Becky Stopkotte – Developmental Coordinator:

Going into the long course season we are pleased to announce the addition of Becky Stopkotte to our coaching staff. She has a tremendous amount of experience and success in the competitive swimming arena both as an athlete and a coach. She will be acting as our Developmental Coordinator. Her primary responsibilities will include overseeing organization, staffing, and day-to-day operations of the Green and White groups at the sportsplex. Her emphasis will be on keeping swimming fun while developing proper competitive swimming technique. Her focus will be on getting the athletes excited about developing the skills necessary to progress through the Green & White group's and on into the Red Group. She will work to educate the athletes and their families on what to expect at competitions, how to sign up for competitions, being prepared for competition, etc. She will also work to develop some "practice" meets for our younger athletes to gain experience.  We are excited to have her on board!!!

 

Brian Allen – Senior 1:

Brian has been working with the white group in Brentwood for the past three seasons. He is also an assistant coach at Father Ryan High School and has been an assistant coach with the senior 2/3 groups this past season. Brian’s role will be expanding this season as he takes on the Senior 1 training group. Brian swam for Coach Morse at NAC and then at the College of Charleston. He is excited to be working with the Senior 1 group and looks forward to helping them continue to be successful. 

 

Jarvis Werkhaven – White Group Brentwood

Jarvis has been swimming with NAC for over 10 years. He recently finished his senior season at MBA and was an integral part of the MBA High School State Championship team from 2009-10. For the past two summers he has been coaching with Sequoia Country Club. His enthusiasm and fun loving demeanor will make him a great addition to the Brentwood / NAC coaching staff.
