NAC Swimmers Sleigh Records at 2011 USA Swimming Junior Nationals

Twelve members of the Nashville Aquatic Club traveled to Austin, TX to participate at USA Swimming Junior National Championships held on the campus at the University of Texas December 8-10, 2011.

Maclin Davis was crowned Junior National champion in the men's 100 butterfly - touching the wall in a new meet record time of 46.83 - shattering the previous record by a half a second.  Davis is believed to be the second high school male under 47.00, with Michael Phelps the first to accomplish the feat.

The men's medley relays, comprised of Chatham Dobbs, Alex Goss, Maclin Davis, and Adam Cornett made appearances on the medal stand as they finished in 3rd place in both the 200 medley and 400 medley relays.

Elizabeth Stinson finished in 13th place in the women's 500 freestyle, swimming to a 4:50.28.

Maclin Davis finished in 14th place in the men's 50 freestyle with a best time of 20.52.

Carrie Johnson set a new 13-14 Southeastern Swimming record in the women's 100 butterfly, as she finished in 22nd place with a time of 55.31.

Chatham Dobbs swam to a 24th place finish in the men's 100 backstroke with a best time of 50.49.

Michelle Chintanaphol finished in 16th place in the women's 200 backstroke swimming a best time of 1:59.72.

Taylor Charles finished in 23rd place in the men's 200 butterfly with a best time of 1:50.42.

Other participants from NAC included Anna Grainger, Morgan Flynn, Nathan Stinson, and Tatum Wade.
