NAC Dominates SES Long Course Championships
Nashville Aquatic Club athletes dominated the 2012 Southeastern Swimming Long Course Championships, winning the meet by a margin of 800 points. Incredible performances from across all age groups, and several breakout performances highlighted the swims of the weekend.
Carrie Johnson and Annie Kyriakidis both qualified for this summer's United States Swimming Open Championships, with first place finishes in the Senior 100 Butterfly and 13-14 100 Breaststroke, respectively.
Maddie Hoff picked up Summer Junior National time standards in the 100 and 200 Breaststrokes, earning first place finishes in the Senior version of each event. Reece Boyd also picked up a Summer Junior National time standard in the 100 Butterfly.
Multiple athletes picked up new NAC Travel Cuts at the meet, including Matt McPherson, Carrie Johnson, Reece Boyd, Adam Cornett, Elena Escalas, Sophie Pilkinton, Tate Ramsden, Erika Giuse, and Christina Clayton.
The NAC Senior girls dominated the meet, including finishing 1st through 6th place in the 200 and 400IM's.
5 NAC Athletes qualified for the Southeastern Swimming Zone championship team, including David Brooks, Austin Morris, Seth Kyriakidis, Kate Beuter, and Christina Clayton.
