NAC's Maclin Davis 2012 Junior Pan Pacific Champion in the 100 Butterfly
The 2012 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, held August 23-27 in Honolulu, Hawaii featured some of the fastest 18 and Under swimming this season from across the world. While Team USA walked off with the team title, NAC's Maclin Davis, competing once again for Team USA, was the 100-meter butterfly champion.
Touching the wall in a lifetime best of 52.89, Davis bested competion by more than half a second. Davis' time placed him at 51st in the world this year in that event.
NAC Head Coach John Morse, who served as an assistant coach for the women at the event, said, "I'm proud of Maclin for representing Team USA and the Nashville Aquatic Club here in Hawaii. He swam an incredible 100 butterfly, and his ability to focus every bit of energy into one race is extremely unique."
