Looking Ahead- Southern Premier Meet and Championship Season
The Championship season is just around the corner and to prepare our athletes we will be asking them to step up the intensity in practice and elevate their level of expectation as we head into this very exciting time of the year!
This year will be the first season of The Southern Premier championship, which will be held in Knoxville, TN March 7-9, 2014. This meet will showcase the fastest swimmers from some of the best programs in the county including Bluefish (New England), Conejo Simi-Valley (California), TN Aquatics, Lakeside Seahawks (Kentucky), Swim Atlanta (Georgia), Marietta Stingrays (Georgia), Bolles (Florida), Trinity (Florida), and Kansas City Blazers (Missouri).
The competition at this championship meet will be much greater and challenging for our athletes, than that of the Southeastern Championship. In order to compete at this meet, a swimmer must qualify in at least one individual event. All qualifying times are posted on the website HERE.
Nashville Aquatic Club has a wide range of both ages and abilities within the program. With that, our championship season differs for all of our athletes from the Green group level athlete up to the Senior group. The level of competition that each swimmer is eligible to compete at, or is striving to compete at, also differs. ( For more information regarding all Short Course Championship competitions please see the Championship Meet information in the “Age Group Handbook” posted HERE.)
