NAC Dominates Middle School Championships & High School Regions
Nashville Aquatic Club swimmers dominated the Middle School and High School Region Championships over the weekend. Athletes represented their middle and high schools at meets held on Friday, January 30 and 31. At the Middle School Championships, NAC athletes dominated the 16 individual events with 12 championship finishes, 6 meet records and over 50 Top 8 swims. At the Region Championships, the NAC women took home individual titles in 5 of the 8 events offered.
At the Middle School Championship, NAC athletes not only took home individual titles, but 6 of those winning finishes were record breaking performances. This included swims by Kallie Chelsvig in the 100 Fly (57.44), Ella Nelson in the 100 Breast(1:05.21) Ophelia Pilkinton in the 50 Free (24.47) & 100 Free (54.63) and Alex Walsh in the 200 Free (1:52.39) & 100 Back (55.57). They all tore through the previous championship records with tremendous swims!
