2024 Olympic Trials Opportunity
Dear South Bay Aquatics Families,
I am delighted to share exciting news from USA Swimming and San Diego-Imperial Swimming. They have announced a special opportunity for San Diego-based clubs to attend the 2024 USA Swimming Olympic Trials at a discounted group rate. The Olympic Trials will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana (home of NFL Indianapolis COLTS) from June 15 to June 23, 2024.
South Bay Aquatics is planning a chaperoned team travel experience for our young athletes, with the option for interested parents to join. To participate, we require a minimum group size of 10 athletes. The approximate cost per person is $1300. This fee covers the following:
Travel from June 16 to June 19, 2024 (dates may be subject to change depending on ticket availability)
Round-trip flight from San Diego to Indianapolis
Hotel Accommodation
Transportation (car rental and fuel costs)
Tickets to at least 2 sessions of the Olympic Trials (Prelims & Finals)
Full meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Access to the USA Swimming Olympic Trials Fan Experience (Toyota Aqua Zone) at the Indiana Convention Center
Additionally, our team will have at least 2 training sessions with a local Indianapolis swim team (USA Swimming member)
If you are interested in this unique, once-every-four-years’ experience, please provide us with a headcount by April 14, 2024. Following confirmation of number of possible attendees, a NON-REFUNDABLE $500 deposit will be required per participant, charged to your swimmer's account by May 1, 2024, with the remaining balance due by June 1, 2024.
